I can't really afford to miss school tomorrow for snow. Only 6 class days until midterms and those IB commetnaries.

A delay is what you'll get then.
My high school student hates delays - you still have every class, but they're all too short to be interesting, and worst of all there's still time to assign homework.
I agree - delays are rough for teachers, too. And attendance is poor.
