I'm not sure why people think John McCain could win the Presidency in 2008. The man is 69 right now, 72 in 2008 (3 years older than Reagan in 1980), but that's not all. He looks like hell. He did tonight, at least. He could pass for 80 right now. And this is coming from someone who's basically a McCain fan, someone who thinks that if the country had elected him in 2000, the political landscape would be a much less vitriolic place right now.
He's a tough guy, but his time has passed.
Update: The man doing the Democratic rebuttal is a freak. What's up with that eyebrow?

haha i saw about 2 seconds of kaine talking and had the same eyebrow reaction. i'm gonna watch the tape of the address tomorrow.
The eyebrow thing was distracting. I couldn't focus on what he was saying.

I saw McCain in person once at a rally. You oughta see the guy up close! Looks like ten miles of bad road. Chuck really worked him over in NVN, too- he has a thick scar snaking up from his collar and a shrivelled arm. Dude's all banged-up.
The new governor is Tim Kaine, Snay. I think he was just elected against a Bush-backed candidate, and it was a big deal because VA is so conservative.
