The other reason to be proud of my kids this weekend is The Prank. On Thursday night, a few inspired students hung a huge banner proclaiming our school's cheer from the roof of the rival school. It hung over the letters on the school sign. They wrote a letter - a very well-written one, I might add, with a hilarious punchline - and taped it to the front door. It was the perfect prank; it was good natured, and nothing was damaged, no one was hurt, and nothing was stolen. Trespassing would have been the only charge police could have got them on, should they have wished to do so.
The kids took a photo of the banner on the rival school, and that photo along with the letter was circulating throughout the school all day on Friday. Today at the game, the photo had been put onto t-shirts that were beings old for $20. Rumor has it that you can even pick one up at Mondawmin Mall by now. They sold out of the shirts, but rumor has it they will be available at school on Monday. You bet your ass I'll be buying one.
I can't believe how good of a mood I'm in right now. I just went to the gym and plan on spending the night at home now that I'm feeling healthy and sweaty. I've been out three nights in a row, and feel like laying down to watch Sin City while I half-naturedly clean the house.

How are you going to clean your house when you're laying down watching Sin City?
I didn't think of that. Maybe on breaks from laying down.
