Grinding again

Time to breathe. It was another day of leaving at 5 am and not returning home until midnight. Luckily, the dog wasn't home this time needing to go out. I just picked him up from the Polish Girl's house. She fed me shrimp when I got there.

I'm exhausted, but am happy that l'm finally sitting down for what seems like the first time today. I'm also happy that it's November and I haven't had to turn on the heat yet.

I went to the gym for the first time in a week or so this morning, and, I must say, the best day to start a workout plan - or return to one - is to do it on the first day of Daylights Savings. Getting up at 4:45 has never been easier. I'm glad. I really had a lot of NYC junk food to work off. One of my most vivid memories of the weekend trip is walking around drunk in Central Park on Saturday afternoon and wolfing down a Ben & Jerry's drumstick right before I had to go behind a tree and pee. Then I passed out on a couch and awoke later, eating a couple of slices of huge cheese pizza before seeing the play. The entire time, I complained that my feet hurt from all the walking (to be fair, I brought only cheap dress shoes.) Not my proudest moments in health.

In other news, today was my little sister's 25th birthday. Happy Birthday, Heidi.
