Two solicitations

1. If anyone in the Baltimore area wants to get on a dodgeball team this year, shoot me an e-mail. I've somehow been roped into coaching a team of people who signed up as individuals, And, because of a glitch in the system, it turns out our team is four people short. We play on Thursday nights for the next seven weeks in south Baltimore, and the cost is $45. Happy Hour afterwards is at Nick's Fish House, a place I love. We've played one game out of eight so far, and were crushed because we're shorthanded. But it was fun and a nice little workout; you play ten five-minute matches, good cardio workout if you can stay alive.

2. I'm looking for friends on Netflix. Shoot me an e-mail if you're into that.

MY Supervisor is lazy, chickenshit, moody, exhibits inconsiderate and selfish behavior with alarming frequency, holds people hostage to his/her moods, and has absolutely no concern or empathy toward the people unfortunate enough to work for him/her. I have frequent fantasies of this pathetic person in stocks in the public square. My animosity sometimes scares me. Our job is the place where we spend most of our waking hours. We depend upon it for our very sustenance, so the stakes are very high. We pour our hearts and souls into it only to feel a sense of almost betrayal by those who are supposed to lead but are woefully (and sometimes gleefully) inept. I think the old adage "we rise to the level of our incompetence" is only too true.

That's cool. I'll need Rachel's e-mail address that she signed up with for Netflix to do it.

Or you can just add me, using my verizon.net e-mail address (my first initial + my last name at verizon.net; for example if my name was john brown my e-mail address is jbrown@verizon.net - just exchange my real name for that)
