Don't you wish that all conflicts could be discussed over wiffleball?

You live with somebody for a year, and you think you know them.

I thought I did.

Then, I ask her to be my Netflix friend. She agrees. All is fine. Today, however, I click on her page for the first time.

She hated two of my favorite movies from the last few years - Magnolia (two stars) and The Royal Tenenbaums (one star) [!].

And that's not even getting into the fact that she gave My Big Fat Greek Wedding five stars. Auggh!

The horrors. We will have to discuss this tonight over wiffleball.

I'm only kidding, of course.

I'm sorry, but you gave Ladder 49, Minority Report, and Identity four stars when all three were really not that good. Big Fat Greek Wedding wasn't spectacular but it was at least entertaining. And, even though I loved Magnolia and RT, not many people really got those movies so I can understand why Fool didn't like them.

I think I gave "Ladder 49" 4 stars because it was better than I was expecting, and because it's Baltimore, and "Identity" because I went on a date for it that got me laid afterwards. But "Minority Report" deserved it, definitely.

"Big Fat Greek Wedding" wasn't entertaining to me at all. In fact, coming from a large immigrant 2nd-generation family myself, I found the silly portrayal of the family - particularly the idiotic Windex-loving grandfather - sort of insulting.

Identity was AWESOME. So was ROYAL TENNENBAUMS.
